Thursday, April 20th 2023, Wormeldange-Haut

Having signed up its first Duqueine D08 LMP3 in the Prototype Cup Germany with Wolfgang Payr and Kevin Rohrscheidt sharing their driver duties, Racing Experience confirms the entry of a second Duqueine D08 LMP3 consistent of the highly experienced driver pairing of Markus Pommer and Gary Hauser.

The pairing having raced against each other already in the German Formula 3 cup over a decade ago is aiming to build on the success of Racing Experience in the Prototype Cup Germany in 2022 and has set high goals for 2023 in fighting for wins and ultimately the title. Pommer, amongst other German Formula 3 champion in 2014 and multiple race winner in ADAC GT Masters will be new to the series but will be able to rely on the experience of Hauser and Racing Experience having competed already successfully in the championship in 2022.

As reminder, compared to the previous year, the ADAC Prototype Cup Germany will not include only four race weekends, but even six, competing on well-known german circuits with two stopovers in the Netherlands. Some highlights will consist of the races at Oschersleben, at the F1 circuit in Zandvoort and at the Norisring, as the Prototype Cup Germany will race along the DTM Series. The other races will be part of other ADAC racing weekends.

Christian Hauser, Racing Experience Team Owner said, “We are happy to have signed such a talented and experienced driver as Markus for the 2023 season of the ADAC Prototype Cup Germany. As more and more teams have announced their line-ups, we can see that the level of competition has even further increased compared to last year. We still feel like we have made the right decisions over the winter break regarding our team structure and engineers and feel confident that we are able to fight for podiums and race wins.

Markus Pommer, Driver Racing Experience said, “I am really happy to join Racing Experience for the 2023 season. We had a very positive test a few weeks ago and I felt immediately confident. Thus, I am very optimistic about our potential for this year.”

Gary Hauser, Driver Racing Experience said, “I am grateful to be able to continue a further year in the ADAC Prototype Cup Germany and to be able to share the car with Markus. It is somewhat funny that we competed against each other in 2009 and 2010 in Formula 3 as teenager and that we will now share the same car as teammates some years later. I feel confident in our whole team and our line-up and feel confident for the upcoming season!”

The first race of the season will take place on the 28th – 30th April 2023 in Hockenheim.

All races of the season will be live broadcasted on YouTube as well as on adac.de/motorsport.
