P11 for Racing Experience at Monza

Sunday 11th July 2021, Monza

A very good point to notice that everybody was happy to see that we had again a reliable car as the 4 hours ELMS are long and demanding in all aspects, especially at Monza.
A high speed track which requires low down force and hard braking abilities.
Our pit stops including refueling and tire changes went all smart and were perfectly achieved in time as scheduled.

On the other side, the final result with P11 was not as expected, although the team and drivers worked flat out during all last week.
David managed to set the team quickest lap here at Monza in qualifying which meant P11 to start the 4 hours race in really hot weather conditions, Sunday at 11.00 AM.
Tom did a good start and stayed out of troubles in the first laps which is not the easiest thing to achieve at Monza with a 40 cars grid.
Because of massive tire vibration and tire pickup issues, Tom was called to pit and he went out with a fresh set to finish his stint.
In the meantime, the team recovered the damaged tires as far as possible and it was now David’s turn to take over from Tom who escaped a high speed spin entering Ascari without any damages.
At this stage, the goal was set to finish the race and to record as much data information as possible.

Gary did what he had to do and took the checkered flag on on P11, just outside the Top 10.

The next meeting will be at Spa-Francorchamps which is our ‘’home’’-race and just 80 km close to our workshops
